About Me
I grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota along with two younger brothers and two cats. I attended Middleton Elementary School there as well as the Math and Science Academy for middle and high school, and ended up at Winona State University pursuing a career in education.
For a while I debated what I wanted to do "when I grew up," but after working/volunteering as a babysitter, nanny, and Sunday School teacher, I knew that I wanted to work with kids and was reaffirmed this by my babysitting families and other volunteers I worked alongside.
I very much enjoyed my student teaching experiences at St. Charles Elementary School (Grade 3) and at Winona Middle School (Grade 6-Social Studies), and am now enjoying substitute teaching in both St. Charles and Winona school districts, seeing new classrooms, meeting new students, and continuing to learn more every day.
My hobbies: baking, photography, knitting and crafting, playing with my cat, and spending time with friends and family
My favorites:
Food: Macaroni and Cheese, Breakfast Skillets, Enchiladas
TV Show: Parks and Recreation
Movie: Hercules
Color: Maroon
Book Genre: Mystery & Adventure
Teams: The Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Twins
Personal Heroes: Amy Poehler, Emma Watson, Ellen DeGeneres
